Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson celebrates his 68th birthday today. The Scot who was appointed at Old Trafford in November 1986 has been in the job for 23 long years.
With more than two decades as manager of Manchester United, Fergie is the second-longest serving manager in United’s history after Sir Matt Busby. Even at 68 he is showing absolutely no signs of retirement!
Manchester United have already given their manager Sir Alex Ferguson the perfect birthday present by closing the gap on leaders Chelsea to two points with a stunning 5-0 victory over Wigan.
