Sir Alex Ferguson had hinted Hargreaves's comeback for the Champions League knock out clash with AC Milan. He said, "I would like to seem him make the squad for the Champions League fixtures against AC Milan, but we won't rush him. We are being patient with the rehabilitation following his knee operations and he is alternating his training with the reserve and first-team squads, working for two days and then resting a day."
Hargreaves who is seen as the long term replacement for Paul Scholes in the midfield by Sir Alex Ferguson was expected to return in November last year. It has been almost three months since then, but Hargreaves just doesn't seem fit to play.
