Shinji Kagawa has admitted he must improve his game to impress new manager David Moyes and have a successful career at Old Trafford for himself.
The Japan international arrived from Germany last year and played a key role under Sir Alex Ferguson. He went on to make 26 appearances for the Red Devils scoring six times and winning the Premier League trophy, thereby enjoying a strong debut season.
However, the 24-year-old has appeared to be a peripheral figure under new boss David Moyes as he is struggling for game time. Admitting to improve his game, Kagawa said, "I have to take this like some kind of message (from the manager). I need to improve more and more, or I cannot survive at this club. I have to take this in a positive way and keep trying to do my best."
Kagawa's last appearance was against last week's surprising loss to West Brom where he was substituted at half time. He has vowed to improve his game so he could make a greater impact at Manchester United.
Hopefully, we should Shinji Kagawa play tonight against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League, having featured in United's opening group game against Bayer Leverkusen.
