Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen believes David Moyes made a mistake by bringing in Marouane Fellaini to Old Trafford. While Owen does consider the Belgian a good player but not a 'Manchester United player'.
Throwing his full support behind Moyes, Owen said, "There is no doubt in my mind that David Moyes will be a huge success at Manchester United for years to come.'
He also said the former Everton boss should have recruited Ross Barkley instead of Fellaini because the youngster has established himself as one of the Barclays Premier League's brightest talents whereas Fellaini is yet to establish himself as first-team player and justify the £27.5million United spent on him this summer.
Owen, said, "Moyes would have been better served by breaking the bank for another of Everton’s players. A team consisting of two of the best youngsters in the Premier League, Adnan Januzaj and Ross Barkley, would have immediately sent out a the message that Moyes is building a team to last."
Do you believe Moyes was wrong in recruiting Marouane Fellaini for the short-term?
