Everton Brian Smith Ribeiro, or simply, Ribeiro, has expressed his desire to leave Brazil only to join Manchester United; even if it means to say No to Real Madrid.
He was recently awarded for being the best player for Cruzeiro in the Brazilian top flight last season where he helped thme to win the Brasileiro Serie A title.
While mentioning his versatality in the midfield, Ribeiro said, "Yes, I would prefer that [to join Manchester United]. The structure they have in place is one of the best in the world. I have been there already and went to a lecture by Alex Ferguson when I was younger."
David Moyes is desperate to strengthen his midfield and the £8m rated playmaker may be a good candidate. However, there's a complex situation surrounding Ribeiro because the 24-year-old Brazilian footballer because is only 60% owned by his club Cruzeiro, with the 40% belonging to a third party. But I think if United want a particular player, they go all out to secure him. Remember how we bought Carlos Tevez from West Ham when he too was part of a complex ownership puzzle.
Honestly speaking, I don't see Moyes going after Ribeiro. He may be young and versatile, but Moyes would want to go after some established star who has good experience of playing in Europe. What do you think? Will Everton Ribeiro join Manchester United?
