Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has been shortlisted for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award. While the list comprises of ten promising sports persons, the young Belgian-born Adnan faces stiff competition from Jessica Judd who is an English middle distance runner.
After breaking through into the first team at Manchester United, Adnan Januzaj has made 10 appearances for United this season, scoring twice. The 18-year-old has shown his promising talent, which is why he was offered a five-year contract at Old Trafford, earlier in October this year.
We will have to wait until 15 December to find out whether Januzaj wins the Young Sports Personality of the Year award. If he does, he will emulate his teammate Wayne Rooney who won the same award back in 2002.
By the way, after scoring a brace against Tottenham during Sunday's game, Wazza is now fifth in the all-time Premier League leading scorers list. How many goals do you think he will get this season?
